Cancer Season and Mother wounds

Cancer season is ruled by the moon and we often think of Cancer and equate this signs as the mother. How many of us have encountered a womb filled with grief and hardship? The very experience of becoming mothers or nurturers require a death and rebirth. A sacred sacrifice to emerge with new life. This is a season where some are nurturing and some are in need of it.

If you have a night chart or Chiron in cancer, it may feel like abandonment, loneliness, an ask to return home on a frequency that only you know brings you peace.

Cancer season may also be an invitation to receive, to ask for what you need, and to reclaim the feeling of being in a womb. Not simply sitting in darkness and waiting but in being given to.

A season to know you can emerge. First it is the receiving of nourishment vs being extracted from.

This goes for land, country, for world stage.

For those that refer to land as our mother we are also suffering through the patriarchal notions of colonialism and oppression. The energy seeps through the earth and we feel it. Create altars, make offerings, use your magic whatever way it shows up—that includes yourself.

The world is burning figuratively and literally weather wise.

be of the water — be water — be in water

feel your emotions. All of them.

Water is not passive —it is ongoing— it can be vicious, it can be nourishing, it can be dehydrating, or soothing. You choose the power of this amplification. You can hold the salt of grief and release it to and let it move through as an activation.

Water can weigh but it can also lift.

Know that if this season is kicking up things — perhaps you knew how to swim and have all the tools to craft and formulate a new world be it as significant as your own and/or with others.
